Valentine’s Day at EDN

Today is Valentine’s Day.  Valentine’s Day is celebrated on the 14th February every year. Valentine’s Day is named after Saint Valentine who was a Roman priest.

Some symbols of Valentine’s Day are hearts, red roses and Cupid.

Did you know?

Cupid is the son of the Roman goddess of love, Venus. The myths say that when Cupid shoots two people with his magic arrow, he can make them fall in love with each other.

At school, pupils celebrate love and friendship through crafts, cards, songs and poems.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!
