Happy St Patrick’s Day

Today the Primary School turned into a sea of green as we celebrated St Patrick’s Day, Ireland’s national holiday.
Students danced and sang Irish songs, and enjoyed a wonderful performance of Irish traditional dance by the 5eme International Section students. In preparation for today, students learned about Irish culture and made Irish hats and souvenirs with their teachers.

It was a lovely opportunity for all the primary students to celebrate and dance together. Our SI teacher, Mrs Ramjuttun, originally from Ireland, said, “It has been quite emotional seeing children from Mauritius, France and other countries come together to celebrate my home country. Lá fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh go léir.”

Happy St Patrick’s Day everybody!
